Excessive heat warning in effect today (forecast high of 98F and heat index 110F). Got up to 98F yesterday which is the hottest it's been this summer. Frontal system approaching early next week should bring t-storms and temps not as hot. Wunderground shows cooler than NWS with low temps in the upper 60's middle of next week.   |

Last heatwave of the year...or will there be more? I foolishly thought the last bout of +30C last week was the last heat of the year. First real rain since June, if it doesn't die in its ass that is.  |

Probably won't get anymore real cold weather, i.e. negative lows this year, it just doesn't feel like it. All real cold is probably over, so won't need to worry about my chillis, they'll only get stronger from now on.  |
