D-
Has proper cold and snowy winters, but they are too dark and too long (5 months). The rest of the year is meh at best.

Atrocious, subarctic hellhole of a climate. Summers only save it from an F-.

E
Winters are too long, cold and dark, and summers are pretty lackluster and don't compensate for the winters.

B+/A- range. I went with B+
Temps are decent, could use a little more seasonal range. Rainfall days are too high which seems to be a common thing in Russia - do they use a different cut-off than other countries?
I think my biggest complaint would be the low sun hours in the cooler half of the year. I like the temps and snow cover but I like some cold sunny days mixed in. Most of northern Europe is this way. Maybe I'd get used to it, maybe not. A little further east in Russia seems better for me, but not so far east that it turns semi-arid.

I am giving it the lowest rating I have ever given a climate here. It's an E.
Like if you want to get rid of me send me to Moscow. Sure thing I'll slit my throat in a matter of days.

I remember that one. Some areas in the south of the country were an oven. Kalmykia was particularly fucked.
