Ok Great Lavra is in Mount Athos of Macedonia region in North Greece and is by far the mildest area of mainland North Greece. It even narrowly beats downtown Thessaloniki with an avg. annual T of 17.9CWinter Ts are by far the highest in the wider Macedonia region and the winter minimums are shockingly high for an area located in Macedonia. It's the only area of mainland North Greece at 10a hardiness zone. This is due to being coastal extremely exposed to foehn winds during the meltemi season but also during the rest of the year. The station is located in the middle of nowhere in the Great Lavra monastery surrounded by huge forests, mountains, hills and wild beauty. It's also the only area of North and Central Greece, as well as some areas of south mainland Greece that has registered a tropical night in December! Very rainy by Macedonia's standards. It's a B- for me.

A-. This 9 year stretch looks really good actually, especially because summers aren't so dry.

A, pretty much ideal except diurnals are too small and it's too laggy.

Identical greek climate number 13, F. how is it the same? This is from the Macedonia region up north. Look at the rain pattern. It has nothing to do with semi-arid SE Greece.

D. The relatively warm winter nights should give more of their temps for the days.
