I have a friend who was born and raised in Medford, WI, so I was inspired to pit her hometown's climate against that of another, larger city by the same name. Medford, WI has a hemiboreal humid continental climate with cold winters, mild summers, and the summer precipitation maximum typical of the Upper Midwest. I will say that it has an impressive 149 F (83 C) range between its record high and low temperatures going for it. Medford, OR has a Mediterranean climate, with cool winters and warm, dry summers. December is, interestingly, the coolest month of the year here, which is common among climates of the US West Coast. (Medford itself is some 79 mi (128 km) inland from the coast as the crow flies.) My vote is for Oregon - it's too dry outside of winter, but the winters aren't nearly as hideous.

Medford, Oregon for sure. One of my favorite climates. Gets an A.

Oregon. Summers are way too hot but winters in the other place look horrific. Witnessed an amazing thunderstorm in Medford once.

Oregon. Way too dry but that northwoods climate is terrible.

Both are terrible. Oregon has more OK months though but those summers would give me a huge migraine. I'd just barely choose it by a smidgen, compared to the shit winters in the other place but both are FAR from "good".

Oregon, better in every way. Didn't even need to look at the weatherboxes to know the other was a subarctic shithole

Boregon by far, for not having long, frigid winters

The Wisconsin one is an upgrade from my current climate because it's colder. I choose that.
The Oregon climate is ok, not great. Summer highs are bit warm and I don't like a dry-summer precip pattern in general. The winters are ok but nothing exciting except for the occasional snowfall or sunny day.
