Third day of 30'C in a row in Sweden, two in a row in Uppsala
2nd for Finland, or for Kouvola. The only city which has recorded 30C this heatwave.

Cold front on the way for the southeast on Sunday: I miss when cold fronts were oriented in a westerly fashion. This winter thus far they're southerlies, and places like Sydney on the east coast have become windward to them. Such a weather-failure.

Hot stuff. High 32.0C in Riga today.
Nice! Still below the most optimistic 33-35C figures some forecasts suggested.
Turku Artukainen recorded above 30C and Turku Airport above 31C. We'll see after 21:00 what the final highs were. Anyway the first 30C for Turku for the year and a lot of other locations in Finland today.
edit: 30.6C was the high at Artukainen and 31.1C at the airport. Kronoby had a 30.2C high.
Two stations recorded lows above 20'C last night, with 20.2'C at Gotska Sandรถn the highest.
Preliminarily one tropical night in Finland. Luhanka Judinsalo in Central Finland by Lake Pรคijรคnne. 20.2C there as well.

32.0'C in Uppsala today. Trondheim airport got 32.1'C yesterday though. And Mo i Rana at 65ยฐN got a whopping 21.7'C low last night. We had our warmest day so far of the heatwave today in Umeรฅ, though only 26.2'C at the airport which is quite disappointing compared to what most of Sweden and the Nordics has been managing for consecutive days.

Babu: oof, but you had that 28.3C on the 1st. Turku underperformed compared to the rest of Southern Finland this "heatwave" before today. 25.1C, 25.4C, 26.7C were the highs before today.

Third day of 30'C in a row in Sweden, two in a row in Uppsala That Uppsala is suspiciously always warmer than all surrounding weather stations. Must be located at the southern wall of the building or something.

Today brought us high temperatures. Today's maximums, official weather stations are circled, top of the table. Yesterday there were tropical nights in several coastal stations, today it can be expected inland. The website of our weather service is technically not very attractive. At least there is a map for seawater. Sea water temperatures tonight at 8pm, Pรคrnu really warm.

Interesting. Placement might certainly be an issue for legacy reasons, just like Stockholm Observatory, as those are the two oldest continuous weather stations in Sweden. Anders Celsius himself was a professor at Uppsala University.

A classic Melbourne winter's morning/day....see the min at 6.00am ? strong northerlies blowing before the arrival of the north west cloud band and rain.... then a cold south westerly change moving in and dropping the temps the overnight min likely warmer than today's max temp ( depends on the timing of the change given the 9.00am reset )

Poured again overnight with 1.68โ (43 cm) falling. That brings the monthly total to 8.88โ (226 mm), making this the 5th wettest June and 10th wettest month.
Also the wettest month Iโve ever experienced.
However it hasnโt felt that wet as much of the precipitation has either been overnight or in 2 big afternoon storms. Only 4-5 of the 15 precipitation days have actually had rain between the late morning and sunset showing how much of it has been overnight.

The station is located on that pedestal circle of grass between two parking lots in the middle of this image: More images: They've studied the nature of the urban heat island of the station quite extensively and when using the (oldest WMO centennial station in the world) full time series to evaluate climate change etc. they have a detailed correction algorithm to remove the UHI effects. In 1998 they moved the station last, from the observatory 1km north, closer to the center. The new placement is cooler but has by now pretty much caught up to the previous place in terms of UHI amount. Anyway, I don't really get why the station had to be placed so close to asphalt; there are lots of bigger green spaces in the vicinity.

I was just going to post the same thing about my location - extremely wet here this month too, with another 1.47" (37.3 mm) yesterday. Our monthly total so far (which appears to be it for the month, with no rain in the forecast today or tomorrow) is 8.82" (224 mm), which will make this the 7th wettest June on record. The normal precipitation for June is 5.28" (134.1 mm), and the historical average is 4.11" (104.4 mm). Impressive!
