I used only the mainland (not Sicily or Sardinia). For the northern corners, I used coastal locations because the climates up in the Alps probably wouldn't be as popular. All of these are relatively inoffensive in my opinion. Northwest corner: Andora Northeast corner: Trieste Southwest corner: Reggio Calabria This data is from 1971-2000 so the modern climate is probably a bit warmer. By the way, does anyone know why Messina, only 12km away across the sea, is much wetter? (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messina#Climate) Southeast corner: Santa Maria di Leuca

Reggio CalabriaNo subfreezing temps in that entire POR, short sleeves weather practically year-round, 3-4 months of consistent summer warmth. One of the best climates in Europe - a true Mediterranean/subtropical paradise. I've noticed Messina is a lot wetter too arcleo. I can't explain it myself though.

I voted for Trieste for getting summer rain, despite the winters being a bit cold and cloudy. They're all very good though.
Trieste: A- Andora: A- Leuca: A- Reggio Calabria: B+

It would be pretty cool to include locations in the Alps. For example, Aosta in the northwest, and Tarvisio in the northeast. Give polar foamers a chance!

Reggio Calabria is the best, mostly because it has higher diurnal ranges than the others.

Reggio Calabria is pretty decent. The other climates aren't bad either.

Reggio Calabria, marginally over the SE one. The other one takes too long to warm up.
