In the US, Americans would brag about the climate of LA and exclaim how beautiful it is. In Australia, the boasters tend to focus on Brisbane (Perth too, but it gets too much love and envy here already). Which 'boastful' climate do you prefer?

! reckon they are both pretty good ( very different but ok ) Having spent some time in Brisvegas on a several different jobs including a May-Feb stint, I have personally experienced the climate some... Winter nights can get surprisingly chilly away from the UHI of the City and the odd one or two wet cold 15c days in winter are just as miserable as in Melbourne ( except only 1 or 2 instead of 122 such days in Melbs... lol ) Summers can be harsh ( as in high dp's ( but rarely gets max temps in the low 40c's... oh out in the western 'burbs does exceed 40c, but rarely in the City and eastern suburbs. ) In reality Brissy is a genuinely good equable east coast AU climate without too many extremes... oh and the region does get some ball tearer supercell storms in spring and summer. I'm voting Brisbane over LA, but its actually a closer battle than I thought after having a think about it... LA is simply too arid to get the vote.

Brisbane. Warmer than ideal, but still sunny enough and has much more storms

How do its summers compare to Sydney's (regarding humidity and all that)? Interestingly strange to see Brisbane winning by a long shot here. I thought folks here find muggy summers repelling, but okay. Lol...

Brissy summers are more 'oppressive' re humidity and dp's... the disclaimer here is that my times in the Sydney basin are mostly out west/inland, so although hotter, also much less humid. My time in Brissy was mostly in the City and at the port along the river as opposed to the hotter and drier inland regions.

Los Angeles has better winter weather, Brisbane has slightly better summer weather, despite the hot and uncomfotable temperatures, it also has more rainfall, which is good. At the end I'd go with Los Angeles.

Aughm, I choose LA. Less humid overall and slightly better winters.

Brisbane for getting some interesting weather, although it's far from my ideal. LA, although nice, is simply too boring for the most part.

Brisbane for being wetter, especially in summer. Though LA is a bit cooler year round which is good
