Which of these climates at 4°S latitude would you choose? Talara, Peru An unusual climate for 4°S latitude in its mildness and extreme aridity. It's the closest hyperarid climate to the equator in the world. Ayabaca, Peru The mountains to the east of Peruvian northwest coast offer some wetter climates. Leticia, Colombia Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo Oksibil, Indonesia A mild and very wet climate.

Talara despite its extreme aridness, for being the "mildest"

Pointe Nior is the only one that is
- not subarctic - not hyperdry - not a mould assembly line - with some semblance of variety

Talara. Even I find it a bit too dry though.

Pointe-Noire. I bet Talara is super cloudy and foggy despite the low rainfall, due to its position.

Pointe Noire all the way!
Comfortable temps, and one of only two with a sensible precipitation amount (the other being a dreary chilly rain dump of a climate).
