Both are Mediterranean climates. One has reliably hot summers (with cool winters that see -11C rec lows with the rare snowfall) and the other has relatively mild winters. Would you sacrifice Rome's nice hot summers for Albany's milder winters?  |

Roma for the temps very close to ideal. Albany is too mild, especially in summer. Actually reminds me of some areas of northern California.
Edit, didn't know Roma had 1991-2020 averages. Finally it updated them. I guess Servizio Meteorologico has finally stopped being a third world service.

Rome for more seasonality and winter chill. I don't like the warm summer nights though.

I don't like using the Albany Airport site climate box.. its 12 klm north of the town CBD and is much warmer than the town site ( in a park right on the coast ) Town Site:  The two airport Sites:   |
