Khost is an easy winner. It's the only one without bone-dry summers.

Khost, far enough east to get some influence from the South Asia Monsoon and some storms

Khost by far. Nice winters and by far the best summers of the bunch.

Khost wins it. Faizabad has the better precipitation pattern, but winter there is too cold and too snowy, so I'll pick Khost for the great temps.

Faiz abad, the coolest among the four.

Khost has an amazing climate, it’s similar to some elevated Arizona climates

Yeah, obviously Khost for being the only non-desert one

Khost prollt... might get some thunderstorms even though it has too many hot months, but it has a milder winter.

Khost for having two rainy seasons!

Zahedan, warmest winters.
EDIT: I realized that Zahedan has pretty cold record lows, which is weird because the winter highs are "warm". I'll have to go with Khost now.

Most of them are good, but too dry. I'll go with Khost.

Fayzabad. The winters are about the lower limit of what I would consider tolerable and the summers are comfortable. Rain is relatively good too.

Yeah, obviously Khost for being the only non-desert one Faizabad gets slightly more precipitation than Khost annually, and Faizabad has cooler temps (less evaporation) than Khost. Neither of these two are deserts, and you could make the case that Faizabad is the less arid one.

Neither of these two are deserts, and you could make the case that Faizabad is the less arid one. It's quite obvious really. Khost has higher precipitation/evaporation ratios during the growing season (i.e. when plants need water) than Faizabad. Cold winter/dry summer is the deadliest combo for life possible, besides literal polar climates.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JalalabadJalalabad is further east than Khost and almost certainly has more humid heat given that its July and August average temps/RH are 32.8 C / 52% [21.6 C] and 31.9 C / 58% [22.8 C] respectively. (For Khost it's more like 27.4 C / 63% [19.7 C] and 26.4 C / 68% [20.0 C]). But Khost has an actual monsoon rainfall wise while Jalalabad doesn't.

Khost for having good winters and two wet seasons. Surprised that Jalalabad doesn’t have a summer monsoon (well, it’s got a very very weak one) while being further east than Khost.
