Earlier today, I saw discussion in the shoutbox about what a Melbourne vs. Seattle climate battle would look like. I didn't read the whole conversation but it does seem like an interesting idea. The climates of both cities are rather disliked by the rest of their country for similar reasons that I think you are all aware of. There are notable differences though, with Seattle being cooler and wetter and getting some snow, while Melbourne is more prone to extreme heat. The precipitation patterns are also different. Melbourne for better summers overall. Seattle has better winters and precip pattern, but takes too long to warm up. Avg high of 21.7C in June is shite
