Simple really... rate the climate and 'where am I' ?

Looks like somewhere in Mexico. Not too bad but too warm heat round and the wet season is too short, D

B-, loses points for the lack of a season with reliably warm lows though.
As for guess the climate question, it's got to be somewhere in Mexico, had somewhere somewhat elevated in the Indian subcontinent in mind though those have smaller diurnals.

Guadalajara in Mexico?
Whatever it is I give it a C, comfortable temps but the rainfall is not ideal.

C+
It's decent, but doesn't have enough cool weather and the wet/dry season contrast is too strong

B+. Too dry for too long and it has recorded freezes, otherwise excellent.

Guadalajara is a C+. I would prefer if the dry/wet contrast was less severe, and cooler winters.

Yes, its Guadalajara... my son has a work collegue from there and she has been discussing the wet season there compared to Darwins....

Reliably warm lows - is 60s F not enough? While not exactly an objectionable climate, personally, I think upper 60s to 70s lows are notably warmer and a more summery feeling than the lower 60s.

Fair enough, they do feel more summery. I just don't like summery, lol. The warm stable lows were always the worst thing about KC summer to me, because to me that means "no relief from the heat and humidity even at night, all you can do is pray for a front."

B, nice long warm/hot dry season and short wet season. Not oppressive like coastal tropical locations.

C. Pretty comfortable, but I would like cooler winters and a more balanced rainfall distribution
