^^ON POLL "SYRIA" IS YONGALA! Apologies for the brain fart! ๐คฆโโ๏ธBoth are elevated (300m & 500m) inland places with hot dry summers, but with some key differences. Yongala's sunshine hours will probably be around 2800-2900.

Don't forget the other key difference, that being Aleppo is 6C warmer in summer day and night, and 3C warmer annually overall.
Aleppo for the way better summers. Yet another example of the SE Aus tundra for the latitude.

Aleppo for the far superior summers
Yongala's extremely cold nights can burn in hell

definitely Yongala for the cooler nights. Nice temps overall; especially during summer.
Aleppo's summer averages are way too hot for me. I'll sacrifice the drier summers for Yongala's far superior temp profile.

I assume you meant Yongala instead of "Syria". Yongala for more summer rain

The non-Med one as usual. Struggling to think of any middle eastern climate that would beat a same attitude Australian one.

"What is Aleppo?" - Presidential candidate Gary Johnson, 2016
Here, it's the better climate, without the chilly crummer lows.

Yongala for the milder summers and having more evenly distributed precipitation

Aleppo is clearly superior here. Yongala could almost be a New Zealand climate if the summer highs were a bit cooler.

Aleppo is clearly superior here. Yongala could almost be a New Zealand climate if the summer highs were a bit cooler. Really? There's barely a NZ climate with a 26C average high in the summer (let alone 30C). Yongala in the summer is still a far cry from any NZ climate. Last time I checked Alexandra had the warmest highs in summer at 24C. Unless there is a NZ climate that I don't know which has summers that average at 26C in the daytime?

Aleppo for being sunnier, less variable summers and having less drizzle

Aleppo for having more winter rain and less drizzle, and far superior spring/fall temps.

By AU standards, Yongala is a cold c**nt of a place that none of us rate highly... it also holds a few SA cold records for lowest min temps in the winter months... yeah/nah... fuck that !! Aussies don't do cold.... lol Aleppo gets the vote. Aleppo's winter record lows are nearly the same so this doesn't seem too relevant.
