High in the tropics, warmth is non-existent. A land of constant cold and thunderstorms with quick melting snow, it's definitely an unforgiving place. But they offer beautiful scenery of alpine tundra, and some of the warmer ones actually support dense forests depsite being koppen ET. Which one of these cold hellholes do you prefer? Oktem, Indonesia Cofre de Perote, Mexico Las Brisas, Colombia La Rinconada, Peru

La Rinconada might actually be the least of the evils out of this lot tbh, slightly more temp variety and likely doesn't get a nonsensical amount of precip days.
I do however wonder how much sunshine all those climates get, if Oktem's sunshine hours are similar that might sway my vote.

I'm forced to vote for Las Brisas unfortunately because that's the only one of these with legitimate data.

La Rinconada because among this sorry lot, it chiefly has the best combination of squally weather and high diurnals.
Although Cofre de Perote has the best whaling climate. Oath!

La Rinconada is the least shitty option here.

Oktem probably. Las Brisas maybe if it gets much less precip hours, but I kind of doubt that

Oktem for being the warmest, but they're all terrible.

Of course Oktem because it's "warmer"

Oktem of course, it's the "warmest" of this sorry bunch. Presumably the only one without regular snow.

Oktem for being the warmest. Las Brisas would be second.

I can say the same about you choosing a polar arctic Tasmanian climate over Wyndham I'm not a full-on heat wanker like you claim to be. I merely enjoy hot temps and hot summers. Also, the Tasmanian climate you're talking about iirc is Strahan which has an annual mean of 54ºF, it's not a "polar arctic" place. It's less than a degree warmer than Columbus, Ohio, for reference. La Rinconada supposedly has an annual mean of 34ºF, it's an actual polar shithole.

I think it might have been Wynyard actually since I made a Wyndham vs. Wynyard battle a few weeks ago. You're right about the annual mean of 54F though, which is a world of difference to La Rinconada.
