Death Valley. Siri Island can get absolutely fucked.

I pick Death Valley myself. May as well have epic temps but dry heat if both are dry af, an 83°F monthly mean dewpoint with next to no rain/storms sounds shithouse even to me...

I would have picked Sirri Island if the winter temps weren't catastrophically boring and there was more than literally zero rain during the summer.

Death Valley. Siri's average DP of 28.5 C in Aug is ridiculous, especially when paired with highs in the upper 30s C. Must be one of the most oppressive places on the planet. I've lived for years in the deep tropics where 25+ C dews are the norm for most of the year, but these Persian Gulf climates are in a league of their own as far as oppressive summer conditions.
By my reckoning, Death Valley has 4-5 months that are too hot (mid-May to Sep) while Siri has six (May-Oct). Plus Death Valley has a lot more variety in temps and seems more interesting overall. These arid island climates don't do a lot for me.
