E, sunshine is good, but that's the sole redeeming feature of this. Essentially this is still a downgrade on Aberdeen and Inverness...

E+. Way too mild and wet but summer at least is pleasant and thereβs probably some snowfall.
Only 118 precipitation days going by the 1 mm threshold.

B+, for inland standards. No proper heat in summer, but those cool nights and occasional heatwaves definately count up for it! Winters are colder than anywhere in the UK save for the highlands, too.

Wow I'd expected an F from you, are there even any F climates in Australia/NZ?

Wow I'd expected an F from you, are there even any F climates in Australia/NZ? F is reserved for the worst subarctic climates, or climates which have some extremely crappy features. Mt Read in Tasmania would be an F climate for an Australian location that is not an offshore territory.

B
Too sunny and dryer than ideal. Kind of boring, but the temperatures are comfortable.

^Exactly what I'm talking about. No proper heat, but occasional heatwaves that still retain the cool nights; just like a poorer version of Kiandra.

D+ This is probably one of the few places in the southern hemisphere that has 4 seasons with an actual winter and a somewhat warm summer.

D+ This is probably one of the few places in the southern hemisphere that has 4 seasons with an actual winter and a somewhat warm summer. I don't think it's that unusual for the southern hemisphere -easy to find a place with warmer summers and colder winters, even in my region. A C for me- temperatures are too cool, but sunshine redeems it somewhat.

I'll give it a D- it has a very small temperature variation which stops it from getting a C... Summers seem very weak especially with the record high...

D-
This is in the highlands of Tasmania. It is somewhat leeward. Summers are surprisingly sunny, hence why I save it from an E.

When you visit the Tassie Highlands a coupla days before New Years Day and its only 8c max temp and a cold rain falling....an E rating is as good as it gets I'm afraid....nope, not for me a place like that ! E-.
