Speaking of cold fronts, look at these 2 back-to-back cold fronts Marseille got back in February 1956, especially the second one, from six to minus fucking ten as a high (in Marseille of all places!) in one day. It was 18°C+ with a 13°C+ low a few days before that, and an overall quite mild start to winter. Did wonders to the olive trees. Indice subtropique -1586332! Couple pics from that month In Marseille and St Trop': Also, a monthly summary from a random town about 250 km southeast from Paris, with 24 consecutive ice days. Of course locales further east were colder.

I have posted this before, but maybe not everyone has seen it. Helsinki May 1867: Swedish meteorologists have came to the conclusion that as all other record cold Mays since the 18th century are not even near this record, May 1867 in Finland and Sweden was a once in a 1000 year event.

March 2013:
Average temperature: -6,3°C Record high: 6,6°C Record low: -27,4°C Precipitation: 13 mm Sunshine: 242 h
5°C colder than normal or about as cold as the average January, a third of normal precipitation, and double the normal sunshine, close to that of June. It was a strange month, watching the warm and abundant sunshine be unable to melt any of the snow.

Lol, only one day without rain in Trondheim that month ? Wet month, but I see seven dry days there. I think Baba means the icon on the very right side refers that the other six days were a trace of precipitation. Measuring by ≥1mm would have 23 wet days. Btw very impressive January for Trondheim even was too rainy.

January 1908 in Melbourne, still the hottest month ever recorded there with an average maximum of 31.0°C. That period between the 15th-20th must have been completely alien to the residents back then, and it's hard to even get such a stretch like this now! Max temps for that period: 15th: 39.9°C 16th: 42.8°C 17th: 44.2°C 18th: 40.0°C 19th: 41.1°C 20th: 42.7°C Also November 2017 which was very recent, one of the worst starts ever followed by amazing temperatures for the rest of the month. 2nd hottest on record.
