The Sanremo festival, the largest music contest in here, finished just last night. Now I'm listening to the first classified songs again, I was definitively expecting the top 3 to be reversed (but it's also much more interesting like this).
The third place was taken by a very classical Sanremo ballad:
the second place was for the kind of pop songs that does well on our radios (this one work better in studio version than live):
the winner instead is definitively a first for Sanremo in general, I've never seen such a song in a traditional contest like this one before...
^ this winning song was also selected for representing Italy at the Eurovision song contest 2021, that can be entertaining too...
