Sunrise: 7:49 Sunset: 16:17 Day length: 8 h 28 min Peak sun angle: 15°
Pretty damn dark but it'll still get darker. Below seven hours is when it really starts to feel like an alternate reality. It's been sunny lately but looking at the forecast that's done for the year. November averages 29 and December 19 hours of sunshine.
We've lost roughly 3,5 hours since the equinox and more than ten hours since the solstice.

The gloom is really here now, with thick clouds it's starting to get murky at 2 PM.

A week after the roughly halfway point between the Equinox and the Solstice:
Sunrise: 06:37:23 Solar Noon: 12:05:08 Sunset: 17:32:53 Peak Sun Angle: 46.08 degrees Length of Day: 10:55:30
We're now under 11 hours of sunlight (I know y'all from higher latitudes probably think this is a joke, but it's a big deal here), and nearing the 45 degree peak angle. So definitely winter-like sun angles and day lengths right now. Sun angle has dropped 17.95 degrees since the equinox, and ginormous 41.31 degrees since the solstice, we've also lost 72.5 mins of daylight since the equinox and 171.5 (2 hrs 51.5 mins) of daylight since the equinox. There's about 5.68 degrees to go until the peak sun angle on the solstice, so we're about 88% of the way between summer and winter solstice in terms of sun angle.
Sun is directly overhead at 17.82 S, and on the horizon at 72.18 N.
Sun angle at this very moment (3:24 PM) is 24.72 degrees, equivalent to solar noon at 47.46 N.

For the life of me, I don’t understand why we can’t keep Daylight Saving Time year round, a 7:35 AM sunrise and a 5:37 PM sunset would be much more desirable.

I just realized in a month sunsets will already start getting later here. Not too bad. I'll still be starved for light by late February though.

Sunrise: 8:16 Sunset: 15:53 Day length: 7 h 37 min Peak sun angle: 12°
Only 34 minutes left to lose from the sunset time while sunrise still has more than an hour to go. Single digit peak sun angles aren't far either, not that it matters much with fully overcast weather each and every day.
