Still poor, but it’s now light when I finish work and not completely dark til another hour later. Only a month to go for BST and semi acceptable sunsets. It’s already late enough to shift the clocks IMO

Sunrise 7:13 CST Sunset 18:08 CST So still a bit early as sunrise would be 8:13pm which sucks, but 2 more weeks and we switch.

Benelux's longitude range is already half-DST (to almost DST) relative to timezone meridian... Solar noon around 12:30-40 on average without DST With DST would be 13:30ish... Friday prayers (just after solar noon) would be around that time (13:30-14:00), when classes and exams might be started by then (I have plans for future studies there, so it's a concern for me) Hopefully Benelux will vote for winter time year round, it's already half DST anyway as mentioned before Year round summer time would also result in sunrises nearing 10am in the winter

Hopefully most of Europe sees sense and keeps summer time year round. 10pm June sunsets are far better than 8pm sunsets. One of my favourite things of summer holidays in Europe is the late sunsets, even in late August the sunsets are still near 9pm. Winter time is horrible

Winter time is horrible I see the point, but solar noon wise, during winter, Benelux is already half DST (12:30 winter time solar noon), parts of France already DST (13:00 winter time solar noon), and western Spain even 1.5x DST... (aka 13:30 winter time solar noon) Also Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels etc would have sunrises pushing 10am in winter, while "naturally" it's only like 8am... Even Madrid (40°N) midwinter sunrise would be past 9:30 with all year DST (naturally just before 7:30!) I personally prefer earlier times for aforementioned reasons... But, again, each to their own...

I'm more concerned about summer time coming in as soon as sunrises are before 7am, right now are sunrises will be approaching 6:50, we should be switching to BST in the first week of March to get sunsets close to 7pm. It's ridiculous waiting to late March when sunrise is before 6am..
