This is the same climate that I posted on City-Data Weather Forum. New Rome is located at 35°N in a fictional continent near a desert, and has a Csa (hot summer-Mediterranean), bordering on BSh (hot semi-arid) climate under the Koppen climate classification, with long, hot, dry, variable summers, and short, mild winters. It takes the most after the Inland Empire, with winters and summers that are similar, but has less seasonal lag. Triple-digit temperatures are a regular occurrence from mid-June to early September. Also note that most heat is a dry heat, and heat waves often have humidity levels below 10%. Dew points above 75°F are rare during the day. Nighttime temperatures in summer in a typical year vary between 55-80°F, with daytime temperatures between 80-110°F. Snow is rare, occurring once every 10 years. Most rain in summer falls as short-lived thunderstorms. Predictably, I give it an A+ grade.

Welcome to cdweather ben!
I'll give New Rome a C, its a bit too hot and dry for my preferences in all seasons, but certainly still liveable and pleasant most of the year.

E+; FAR too arid, especially in winter. Summers are painfully stable; winters far too mild.
The only good aspect of this climate is the epic, non-humid heat (which saves it big-time).

B-, too hot overall but the right precip pattern and summers are great. Has it ever recorded snow?

D. Too hot and boring outside of summer, winter especially is too warm, wet and boring. Not that bad though, summer actually looks decent.
Btw welcome to the forum!

Loses a lot of points for summer heat and dryness. The variability and winter temperatures are decent, but it is far from the continental climates I like. D+.
