Yeah which is surprising given that the ECMWF led the way with the snow, and the GFS led the way with warm solutions. The fuck. The GFS usually follows the ECMWF.

Never experienced a January starting out with a snow cover only for it to melt away later in the month. This year it could happen seeing as there's only like 4-5cm of snow on the ground.

Still no sign of any proper winter weather...sunshine looks underestimated like it usually is for here.

Lol @ the difference between the 18z and the 6z. WO forecasts should be based on the ECMWF, UKMO or a panel rather than the useless GFS. Look at the end of the forecast:

Lol @ the difference between the 18z and the 6z. WO forecasts should be based on the ECMWF, UKMO or a panel rather than the useless GFS. Look at the end of the forecast: Yeah, WO is not that good for my location either, so tend to use yr.no now, which seems to be most accurate. Today has been almost spring-like with up to 10c and no rain so far. Seems winter is on hold here. Up to 16c at Sunndalsøra now. Forecast here:

A very decent week followed by a cool-down. The Weather Network's 14-day-trend shows a typical mid-winter cold snap after this week. It's January, anything can happen. Just two more months of serious cold and then we're (mostly) out-of-the-woods until the fall

Heavy rain in the forecast tomorrow and a bit warmer. Past couple of days have been in the 50's.

Melbourne the next week:
Just kidding, it's Renmark. Imagine the whole thing 20 degrees colder. 22/1C (72/34F) to -4/-7C (25/20F) in two days is something you'd see in Denver.
