Not sure if there's any boxing fans here, but there's an epic fight taking place tomorrow night in Cardiff. Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker, a bunch of heavyweight belts are on the line.

Joshua won, not the greatest fight, though.

I'm not that much of a boxing fan tbh, most of the good stuff is tucked away on pay-per-view and there aren't all that many decent characters in it who don't seem like complete dickheads, though Joshua does seem like a genuine decent guy who hasn't let success go to his head to be fair. Even if you're not a boxing fan at all though you've still got to admire this all-time sporting classic

Well, there's a guy from my town ( Erik Skoglund) who's probably permanently brain damaged at age 26 because of boxing and he won almost every single game of his career. Not a fan of that sport at all.

^ So why did you post on this thread then?
I love boxing, and used to do a bit of boxing myself. I thought boxing was a lot more exciting from the 70s until the early 2000s IMO. Mike Tyson was an exciting heavyweight boxer to watch. I feel like I should be a bit more keen on following the sport nowadays though.
Dude had insane power and accuracy with his punches.

^ So why did you post on this thread then? Well, Welsh guy asked whether people were fans and I duly responded I wasn't Fair enough? No denying Mohammad Ali and Mike Tyson were true monsters of their age though, as was/is Floyd Mayweather.

Tyson was an animal, and broke the mold for heavyweights at the time. I think he was only 5 ft 10? Once in a lifetime fighter.

Say what you like about David Haye, but watching him slay (and almost KO) that river troll was really impressive.

One of the few novelty fights that might actually be worth watching. The two strongest men in the world, Eddie Hall and Hafthor Bjornsson, best known to many as 'The Mountain' in GoT. www.segi.tv/thorvseddie

I'm not going to spoil the result even though obviously everybody already knows the result. What I am going to say however is that the fight actually was impressively entertaining. Normally heavy weight and super heavyweight fights are pretty boring, with not much activity and a lot of hugging, but these two units were actually impressively active throughout the entire fight. An actual eventful and exciting fight.

Eddie should have got himself a better coach, his technique was really bizarre, he was leaning so far to his side that he was nearly touching the ground, and seemed entirely reliant on his right hand over the top to win it for him.

Big fight tonight, Fury vs Usyk. The winner will be the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.
