Both are around the 47th Latitude line, but with contrary climates. Olympia, WA is either a Csb or a Oceanic Climate. Duluth, MN is a Dfb which is also influenced by Lake Superior.

Olympia, easily. Be careful what you wish for blackcat, especially if you've always lived in Western California and have never experienced 0F even

Duluth. Drier, snowier, colder winters.

Neither are good, but I guess Duluth for being more interesting.

Personally love Duluth, very scenic and an amazing climate. Could see the steam coming from Lake Superior on cold winter days.

Both are complete pus but i think Olympia. The warmer winters and the wonderful PNW scenery win it.

Olympia wins although it's far from perfect. Duluth just is too cold for too long.

Olympia
Far superior winters and precipitation; drier summers with greater diurnal range.

Duluth. Way more interesting in terms of seasonality. Spring and summers could be warmer but it still wins overall.

I choose Olympia for being warmer considering how summer maxima are similar in both climates.
