This was Bathurst's hottest year on record, held in 1878 at the city's gaol. Fucken sick as diurnals and heat in January and extreme thunderstorm activity in February, along with a continental-tier annual temperature range; A+, by inland standards. Mad fucken year! Bushrangers and bolters had it best, the lucky bastards!

D
I like heat but 44.7C is too hot. The rest of the year is too warm as well. February and June were the best months there that year.

B- by inland standards. Would enjoy one year like that, but not every year.

Any snowfall? If not it’s a C, if yes it’s a B-. Yes, some snowfalls.

B+, that's wonderful for Australia, especially that contrast between January and June. I assume the gaol is at a lower elevation than the town itself.
Also, -0.6C in December sucks major balls.

Nah, Bathurst Town lies about 670 m AMSL, whilst the gaol lies at 704 m AMSL. Both the Agricultural Station (713 m AMSL) and the airport (742 m AMSL) are also higher than the town. On account of this, Bathurst Town tends to plunge lower during temperature inversions than its higher surroundings; a frost hollow, so to speak. Reports of negative double figures are not unheard of from locals (last July in particular).

C; negotiable, although January's way too hot and winters are a bit too cool for my liking.
