D-, not good. Too sunny and too mild in all seasons, also far too dry.

B. Lovely quick warm up in April then stabilized well into June, not bad at all.

Every mundane boring climate seems better with added sunshine hours.

Appalling. E. Not much positive to say about it, though I like the abundant sunshine in summer as well as the balmy July average low.

Cooler than I'd like but being so dry and sunny I can't rate it lower than a B.

B-, better than the real Eastbourne.
What year was that December from? Interesting month by British standards, chilly and sunny yet still with decent rainfall. Did it get any snow that month?

I always think Eastbourne's sunshine stats should be taken with a pinch of salt, as the council apparently "massaged" the figures so they could claim "sunniest resort" title. They also apparently moved the sunshine recorder onto the top of a cliff so they could "squeeze out" every last bit of sunshine possible lol

If Bognor or Chichester had data available, it would be sunnier. I think even Bournemouth would be sunnier than Eastbourne if the weather station was in the centre rather than out at the airport. Eastbourne is about 160 hours sunnier than Herstmonceaux, a few miles inland. Hurn Airport is about 5 miles from the coast, so I'd estimate Bournemouth centre and the coast to have over 1900 hours.

Everyone knows Selsey is the sunniest part of the UK. Shanklin is the sunniest place on the Met Office website.

LMFAO, you just took the bait Wilkinsonj417 (called Wilko here) claims that Selsey is sunniest I never paid any attention to his posts as he seemed mentally . Did he always mention Selsey? Wilko claimed Selsey was the sunniest place, despite there being no weather station there lol. He used Met Office gridded data sets, which of course are just "guesstimated" then he worked out (not entirely sure how) how many sunshine hours they get Even though I pointed out to him that Selsey being between Portsmouth & Bognor would have similar sunshine values to them...
