November 2011 fell by the wayside due to incomplete data and some sunshine numbers are estimations based on other stations, but this is very close to it. E for me. Still too cold in summer but I like the warmth potential there, but any chance of an E+ is gone because of the dark winters with a bunch of slush. Tromsø is actually a mediterranean climate during these years due to the 2013 May drought   |

Norwegian is fairly intuitive to learn, at least for myself, since it is so similar. You really only need to learn the very basic grammar and vocabulary. And of course, idioms. Norsk > Svensk = not gay > gay ain't that right knot ? |

Norsk > Svensk = not gay > gay ain't that right knot ? Northern Norwegian does sound quite gay. Many flamboyantly feminine male celebrities here have this accent. Maybe depressing subpolar oceanic climates with total darkness for months in a row are detrimental for the testosterone levels. |

By the way, do you find their accent easy to understand? I struggle quite a bit with Tromsø dialect and much of those outside of the capital region, whereas southern Norwegian in the valley near the border is basically a remake of Värmland and ultra-easy  |

Tromsø is actually a mediterranean climate during these years due to the 2013 May drought That would be a much warmer Tromsø actually May 2013 recorded 365 sunhrs in Tromsø, not 300. I have checked some temps data, also older data...older than the one you have had available it seems.  The warmest Sep had mean 11.2c in 1934. The warmest July: Four Jul months have been warmer than the one you have used. Warmest: mean 15.9c (1960), avg high ca 21c. Three Aug warmer than that one, warmest: Mean 14.3c (1930). Warmest March: mean 1.6c (1959). Four Feb have been warmer than that one, warmest: Mean 1.2c (1959). Three Jan warmer, warmest mean: 0.8c (1925!) Haven't bothered to check all months, this took a little time... |

Well Nidaros it's hard to work with more data than you have so guesstimations had to be made  Also, might depend on station used? Tromsø is confusing with all its stations. |

My data here is from the met.office, 100 m asl. I am fairly sure this is the one used in Meteoclimate. The met.office also has the longest recording, back to the 1800s. The one representing the city center most accurate is Tromsø-Holt (20 m), it is warmer than the met office - but does not have nearly as long recording series. |
