From this selection: Nevada City, California. Very pleasant summers.

I think it'll have to be Nevada City.

What a crappy selection.
Mcmurdo is an F-, Sodo sucks ass, F+, Ivalo is little better and scrapes out an E.
Ashikawa is like a worse Rochester, wetter and more boring, it gets a D. Nevada City has dreadful ass winters, D/D+ for it.
El Calafate is nice and dry, but too cool and boring, it’s also a D, maybe D+ if I’m being generous.
Oberon isn’t great, but at least it has no particularly wet time of year and gets some warmth. It’s only a C, but is the easy winner here.

I did try to make them all kinda shitty in one way or another. El Calafate is an interesting climate in that it's very dry with moderate temperatures but still has technically four seasons. It's definitely too cool in the summer and not cold enough in the winter. Gorgeous landscape there though. My favorite out of these is unsurprisingly Asahikawa. Oberon comes in 2nd, Ivalo 3rd, McMurdo 4th, and the others tied for 5th.

This is by inland standards;
No bias here lads, Nevada does have better temperatures than Oberon, but that dreadful summer precipitation and pitiful lack of storms is a major dick in the arse! If Nevada's precipitation pattern was the other way around, then it would've won.
Oberon.

If Nevada's precipitation pattern was the other way around, then it would've won. Oberon.That is the real sticking point of North American west coast climates and it's probably most accentuated in Nevada City and similar areas in California. The summers would be absolutely amazing with those temps coupled with as much rain as the winter gets (and of course dry winters instead of those lame ass wet mild winters). But, they're dry summers with basically nil thunderstorms. Major dick in the ass in an otherwise decent climate.

Now as for the rest;
The obvious here is Sodo(mite), so that one gets thrown off the roof! McMurdo is quite good by maritime standards, but is catastrophic by inland standards. Hokkaido is the third best right behind Nevada; fourth best is South America. Ivalo comes in at fifth (dry+cold = gay), and obviously the African one loses (((Schlommo climate)))

Nevada City easily. I'll forego the 72pt font but it wins by about that much.
