After this crazy October warmth its time for an update... Today was the eighth day in a row with a maximum above 20°C, we also had two days in a row with a maximum over 25°C (so called summer day).
To 17th October 2018- figures from my personal weather station
20°C (Warm Days): 122 25°C (Summer Days): 72 30°C (Hot Days): 25 35°C (Very Hot Days): 3 Absolute maximum: 38.1°C
Our official weather station of the German weather service which is located on a little peninsula surrounded by three sides of water.
has way lesser numbers regarding summer and hot days- but it looks still impressing for a coastal site close to the North Sea.

For Amherst 20C: 61 25C: 41 30C: 15 now that August is over 20°C: 116 25°C: 93 30°C: 38 for Amherst. Still going with Amherst even though I don't live there anymore cause I'm more interested in its weather + I've been posting Amherst before in this thread 20°C: 144 25°C: 110 30°C: 42 September was strange; lots of hot days and then a cool and wet days. |

Sigdal - Nedre Eggedal recorded 65 days in 2018 with highs at least 25°C.
Drammen recorded 64 days using calendar days. Using temp days it was 66 days.
Sigdal also had 24 (!) days with temps at or above 30°C. Drammen had 17 days.

Sigdal also had 24 (!) days with temps at or above 30°C. Drammen had 17 days. Gulsvik was arguably more impressive with 31 days of 30'C or more, 65 days of 25'C or more, with only 109 days of 20'C of more. More than half of the days above 20'C were 25'C, and almost half of the days above 25'C were 30'C. |
