I know it was only China, but it looks like Giggs is trying to implement a positive attacking style of football. Also nice to see local Wrexham lad Harry Wilson get on the scoresheet.

Winnerpool on fire again Strewthless Thoughts on Chelsea-Tottenham tomorrow? Going to support Spurs to win for 4th place-reasons or being neutral just gunning for 2nd?

Zlatan scored a volley goal from 40 yards on his MLS debut that happened to be the LA derby and then headed home the winner on 90 + 3 minutes Nuts.

He's finally found his level, after supposedly "conquering" England MLS is like the Allsvenskan (Swedish top flight) with higher pay I'll give them they'd probably knock Rangers and Aberdeen out over two legs in LA Galaxy though.

The club as a whole is still reeling from the Moyes-LVG era where the top strikers were scoring 10 goals a year

The club as a whole is still reeling from the Moyes-LVG era where the top strikers were scoring 10 goals a year He was the 7th highest scorer in the league and played for a club that finished 6th. Yeah he was decent, especially for his age, but his arrogant bluster is really embarrassing. He thinks he's on the same level Messi and Ronaldo, but he's never been anywhere near. At least Ronaldo, for example, can back up his arrogance.

That said, a lot of it was for show, and I think he is a lot more mature behind the scenes. Just what I got from him from his time at Manchester United I fully understand why people hate him, I used to hate him a lot too when he was in France

Obviously we never see what he's like behind the scenes, but his public persona is embarrassing. His time at Barcelona sums him up, he was in Messi's shadow and he couldn't stand it.

His public persona really is terrible. Tho I think it's worse when young players who haven't accomplished a thing in their lives adopt it. Tons of young players whining to move to Real Madrid or Bayern before fully developing. Then they inevitably get stuck on the bench, and move to some mid-table club after a couple of years

It can help, so long as it doesn't enter into the realms of delusion. Ronaldo has always believed he's the best but had reasons to believe it, and that mentality has been the foundation of his success. It's a bit more strange when Nicholas Bendtner says the same things

Anfield = The Manchester City graveyard StrewthlessFive consecutive league wins + 3-0 tonight. 3-2 2-1 3-0 1-0 4-3 3-0 Well. Far from over and without Salah Liverpool's attacking game went ugly real quick...

18% of goals conceded by Man City this season have been Liverpool goals. Arsenal v CSKA Moscow tomorrow. Hopefully Moscow doesn't cause too many problems; on paper this should be a relatively easy win at home. Anxious about the away leg though as Arsenal struggle away from home, especially in Europe.

What chance would you grade a Europa League title for Arsenal? I'd say around 30 %. Atlético will be favourites and facing Lazio + Immobile with Arsenal's weak defence...
