Don't get me wrong, I think EPL is much better run and managed than La Liga. EPL also knows how to market itself, which La Liga sucks at. The marketing is shitty enough that even a team that makes the CL final two times in three years is considered a "hipster" team  They really have no idea how to market non-Barca/Real teams It's because the entire Spanish football system is geared towards maintaining the dominance of Real Madrid and Barcelona. Its kinda annoying. Even La Liga president is an open supporter of RM 🙄 |

And of course there's the unspoken truth that much of Real Madrid's success in the past was owed to their close association with Franco.

Messi only scores so many goals each year because La Liga has two good teams and the rest are relegation fodder. He wouldn't score nearly as many playing against the stronger EPL sides

Atlético are big favourites to win Europa League though and Lazio with Immobile up front would be a major hassle for Arsenal's defence too. |
