Yeah, it was. Some cup run. That Alonso halfway goal against Luton from 3-1 down, 2-1 at Pompey, then knocking Utd and Chelsea out, with a 7-0 away thrashing at Birmingham in the midst of that and then of course the Gerrard final.

Reading these things make Buffon cry How about you Urania, have you recovered? I mean with me being a hardcore Ferrari tifoso I like if not love Italy in so many ways, so I'd rather seen Sweden knock Denmark out to be honest!

Much happier to see Sweden involved than Italy tbh. Nothing against Italy as a country, but its football team has never been fun to watch. It's always played dirty, defensive, boring football. Successful but certainly not entertaining.

Successful but certainly not entertaining. The most frustrating thing about that is that Italy has always had a bunch of technical players yet always resort to playing boring football...

Personally I don't care that much, but in here it is difficult to ignore this kind of news.

As for boring teams, it was good to see Ireland get hammered last night. The last thing the World Cup needs is a negative team that tries to win games by parking the bus and sneaking a winner from a set piece or lucky counter attack.

Valencia win a record 8th straight game, picking up 30 points so far this year! Still way too early to get excited, but holy shit. Napoli in Italy have 35 points out of 13 games, 4 points ahead of Juve

Lommie, can you kick a ball? If they're a wee bit softer I'm actually a rather decent set-piece taker. Also, I don't get why the hell Floppster keeps Karies-bacterius in goal
