It's a solid E climate for me. The warm season is way too long and the winters are curiously very short, although very cold relative to the rest of the year. The biggest let down is obviously the lack of precipitation though but it is a desert after all. Any climates similar to this in other parts of the world?

E+:
It's also unique. No other place in the world is as far from the sea as Xinjiang, which really reflects on the climates. Turpan is just the most extreme of the bunch, but รrรผmqi for example is rather spectacular as well.

C-. The biggest issue is the lack of snow. Itโs too stable but the extreme seasonal range makes up for that. Summer is too hot, especially at night and it doesnโt get any storms but overall itโs a decent climate. A slight downgrade from Rochester but I wouldnโt mind it at all.

A C for interesting, I guess.
Fun fact, I know someone in real life whose surname is exactly this, "Turpan."

E+, spring warms up way too fast while conversely autumn takes a while to cool off. Way too dry and sunny as well. The big seasonal range makes this climate not a completely shit show though.

Honestly, I prefer it over Chicago and fucking Toronto.

Damn, not sure what to make of this climate. The short but very cold winters are made up by very nice temps from Apr to Sept, the seasonal amplitude would be a novelty for sure but the utter lack of rain and storms would drive me psycho after a while.
Sunshine hours look good though, I'll be generous and give it a C...the aforementioned save it from a worse rating.

Canโt believe I gave this a C before. E+. March, April and October are the only pleasant months and thereโs nothing in the way of interesting weather.

E. Too extreme winters and summers, and way too dry.

D. While it gets some epic heat in the summer, December and January look miserable and it is completely brown and rainless.
