Let's see how this shapes up... I will have to give the edge to Irkutsk for the warmer and wetter summers but Fort St. John isn't a bad climate at all.

Irkutsk wins even though they are both terrible. Warmer summers, and winters are ridiculous either way.

Irkutsk, better summers.
It could do with a bit more snowfall though but I reckon it'd still be enough to go cross-country skiing so it would have to do.

Both are complete garbage but Irkutsk wins.

Fort St John for the drier summers. Th extra few degrees in irkutsk donβt mean shit when itβs raining more than half the days.

Irkutsk of course Warm part of the year in Fort St John is weaker and what is the most amazing - the Canadian place has such extreme record lows. Weird thing is also that relative humidity is lower.

Both are very similar but FSJ is slightly better because it has warmer, snowier, winters and drier summers. Irkutsk's only advantage is warmer summers.

I choose Irkutsk for being warmer overall and marginally sunnier, but both climates are terrible.

Changing my vote to Fort St. John; milder, wetter winters, and snowier.
