Does that also apply to Oymyakon and Verkhoyansk for the crazy polar Miami guy bro? Yes it does. I think any climate could be adaptable, unless it's something ridiculously extreme like Vostok Station. Verkhoyansk summers are at least decently warm and most of the year isn't quite extreme. |

I think you reach a level of cold where even the greatest cold lover would have to be slightly unstable to desire. In Yatksuk you're talking about cold that damages basic infrastructure and makes everyday tasks incredibly annoying. You can get an excellent cold experience and just a much snow at far more manageable temperatures  |

Voting for March to October. While it would be cool to experience a -50 there (on a temporary stay), i don't really want to deal with it in everyday life. |

It would have been very interesting to experience a full year in Yakutsk with those extreme temperatures. The coldest I've ever experienced was around -20 and not that impressive.
But if I had to live there permanent I have to say late may- early August, right before it gets depressing.
