This is by leagues the best British climate there is...just so bloomin' splendid! Meets most of my winter standards; squally, damp, cold, tremendously snowy; this should've been London's climate at that polar latitude of 51.5ยฐ N. I'll give it a Bโ; summers far too cool, and FAR too cloudy in summer.

Surely Braemar qualifies as inland? Although the location may be (relatively) inland, its climate most certainly isn't. Very few locations on the British Isles can be classified as "inland", as the sea is not far from any direction possible; a small, water-encircled island, so to speak.

Definitely not small by island stands, 7th biggest in the world. But I get your point.

A-
Excellent climate. Decent precipitation, moderate temperatures and not too much sun. Would prefer slightly warmer summers (more like 20 C) but still not bad.

E. All that cold rain and lack of sun is just awful. The temperatures are comfortable enough year-round to save it from an F, but they're much too cool in the warmer half of the year and they're in that awkward not-so-sweet spot in the winter where it's too warm for a genuine cold snow winter and too cold for a proper mild winter - very annoying. Not to mention the general monotony of cool gloomy weather and presumable lack of anything interesting (storms, blizzards, etc). Not a great climate for me.

Braemarโlike all high-latitude maritime climatesโreceives plenty of snowstorms. Maritime climates (chiefly polar ice-cap, tundra and subpolar types) in fact receive far more snowstorms than continental or subarctic climates. Fellas just don't realise how much snow these polar-latitude maritime climates actually receive...it's not always cold rain, I'll have you know!

Ah well that makes the winter a bit more interesting then for sure, though not enough to change my overall score. Just not a fan of cold maritime climates, personally.
