Went onto the Belgian met office's website and dug through the climate stats section in Dutch (went perfectly well due to English/German/Swedish skills) and came out with this for Liège 40 km south of Maastricht and finally managed to give Liège a properly sourced weatherbox with real data; they might as well merge the two stations aside from Liège getting more rain Would knot prefer this one over Maastricht or not?

Aye, Liège is slightly better than Maastricht due to cooler lows, more precipitation days and more frequent snowfall likewise. Quite a decent maritime climate, although summers are still much too warm.
