Most likely Russia's snowiest climate at 64°N on the Bering Strait at the influence of the Aleutian Low. Something tells me between 500 and 600 cm of snow depending on cold and sea-effect along with wet and windy summers will suit a certain maritime climate standards guy Not for me though: F, although not F- because at least the snow provides some interest.

I thought Mr Candle wanted to move to Nain? So, elaborate! Eh, Nain gets more of a summer whereas this place doesn't, it's just a bit crappy for a few months. I'd rather have it freezing all the time in summer like Antarctica if there isn't a proper summer (not that Nain has a proper summer). The big thing though is that Nain is actually quite sunny year-round, even in winter. And I never said I wanted to move to Nain, just work temporarily.

F. At least June looks decent and winter is snowy, not rainy, so it’s not F-.

I love those Siberian climates. Keep em coming.B+ for interests value, F for comfort.
It's weird that January is warmer than December and colder than February. I've noticed that in many polar places.
The climate is bad, really bad. We're talking Magadan is a subtropical paradise in comparison-bad here. The suicide rates and alcoholism is widely prevalent. I wonder why...

In this case it's most definitely due to spread of low-pressure systems from Aleutian Islands travelling north before the Siberian High regains its control through February onward.

C Too cold but could be worse. Still a decent grade for a climate you deemed "too cold" I'm a bit surprised to be honest, didn't think you had that high tolerance for tundra?
