Vernal, Utah is a town in northeastern Utah, near the borders of Wyoming and Colorado on the foothills of the Uintah Mountains. I think the climate is pretty interesting, one of the cooler towns in Utah. I personally rate it a C+, great continentality but too dry and sunny for my tastes. Winters could be a touch cooler as well and much snowier and summers nights are too cold. But still, interesting climate with decent amounts of pluses.

B+. Needs warmer record highs, slightly warmer winter and more snowfall for an A but still a very nice climate.
Drove through there 2 years ago, beautiful area.

Not terrible for a continental climate with pleasant summers; but if there's going to be cold winters I want snow. 11 inches is mediocre, I get 4 times that. Temperatures close to Amherst, Massachusetts but a bit bigger diurnal range. C+/D. I'll be harsh and give it a D

There are way worse Utah climates than this: C
Too dry winters considering the cold air and snow potential with too cold lows.
Summers are very interesting and 31/12 with low humidity is not that bad. Sadly those dry winters clearly mess up the rest of the climate, with triple the snowfall I'd considered this a grade higher.
