Eureka. No heating or air conditioning necessary. Imagine the savings! No indoor heating whatsoever necessary in a 12/4 month with frequent single-digit highs? Are you ironwoman or how come?

I'd prefer not have it like the infamous apartment in Fuxton during my winters and autumns knot

Such outdoor temps could produce indoor temps that are quite cool, depending on the type of buildings. In older UK buildings a month with those averages would yeild indoor temps around 13-14ยฐC, too cold to not use any heat at all.

Don't know about you fellas, but I love it when it's below 15ยฐ C indoors...refreshing! Also, winter clothes are much better than summer clothes.

Jackets? Blankets? Well-insulated houses? Houses are probably a lot worse insulated by default in climates with warmer winters to save those costs during building. Having said that, with Eureka's cool summers, they might be a lot better insulated than they are in similar-winter climates in the mediterranean area.

Having lived in probably the world's coldest apartment (well, down to 2ยฐC in winter) I can say i don't so much mind cold indoor temps at night. I had a good blanket so that was fine. If I'm doing any sitting inside like work at the computer or being in the lounge I don't like less than 18, and that's wearing jackets/3-4 layers. I don't get people who wear summer clothes inside in winter and then have the thermostat set to something like 25ยฐC, that's just wasteful. With the temperatures Eureka has, it could be manageable without heating in south facing apartments/houses all year round. That would play a large factor. Depends how many sunshine hours it gets in those winter months.

Sub-15C temps indoors can fuck off. Fucking shivering and skin turning all sorts of fancy colours, can't even pick ya own nose or touch your nipples coz you're gonna get a cardiac arrest from the shock of your own body part touching your own body, FUCKEN
temps of 8C are routine inside my place in the morning in winter, but I have this awesome ALDI heavy blanket which keep me warm no matter what and is like sleeping on a cloud with a built in heater.

Depends how many sunshine hours it gets in those winter months. Climatebox says 126 hours in December (remember though, US sunshine hours are exaggerated ~25-30 hours per month, so probably more like 100).

I'm in a south-facing apartment and the heater only needs to be on when it gets to ~-1ยฐC outside. Conversely, this time of year if the outside temp is more than 25ยฐC or so, it gets pretty hot in here due to the sunshine if I have the doors/windows closed.

Eureka by a mile, even though it isn't so great of a climate.
Hong Kong is a cloudy, muggy hellohole.

Eureka, reluctantly. Hong Kongโs insanely wet crummers can fuck off.
That being said, both are shitty. Almost wanted to pick HK for having heat and being more interesting, but like I said that summer rain is horrible. At least Eureka gets nice mild winter rains.

quite reluctantly eureka due to the summer sunshine aiding quite marginal temps, and it at least gets some >20c weather unlike rekjavik. Had the summers been very cloudy, i would have given an edge to hong kong for having a nice cool season despite atrocious summers.
