The 87 doesn't really get that the likely outcome of a cancelled season with a team 25 points ahead with ten games to play is that this very team gets awarded the trophy by default Strewthless...

It's not who's given the title that's the issue. What about teams that have invested millions to secure a place in Europe or promotion to the Premier League, who gets relegated?
The biggest strain will be on lower league teams that rely on ticket sales to generate their income. The Premier League gets most of its money from TV revenue so can play behind closed doors and still make money.

It might just be that it'll finish at a later date with the Euros set to be postponed to 2021. With a lengthy break it could be possible that the season finishes a week before the new one begins.

I'd accept that. Let's see them lift the trophy in summer

I will mine it in preparation. Not going to throw a BBQ for us?? I'll throw a celebratory BBQ if Liverpool don't win the league. If they win then there will be 3 days of national mourning.

There's no "if" about it. It's over.

Liverpool are 25 points clear. They will be crowned Champions either way. As a bonus, if the Champion's League is cancelled we'll remain European champions for another year

Liverpool are 25 points clear. They will be crowned Champions either way. And it will go down in the history books that a global pandemic was the reason they won the title, diminishing the achievement.
I'd accept that if a total cancellation of the season isn't possible.

Except Liverpool have the highest points average in any season in any serious top flight league, ever, period
What are you on about?

Not mathematically over yet. If you take the opinion that Liverpool losing every remaining game and Man City winning every remaining game is a probable outcome, then I suspect you may have had a lobotomy.
