Manchester United move top of the league! Took eight years 4, they briefly went top in 2017. I suspect this stay will also be brief, unless the refs keep giving them tonnes of penalties. the midfield is finally respectable, which has been Manchester United's problem for eons. No more Fellainis

Wow, that was boring. Neither side look like champions on that evidence.
The sooner Jota comes back, the better. I hate to say it, Firmino is a great player, but he doesn't score enough. Wastes far too many chances.

Man City won today. Only 2 points behind Manchester United with a game in hand as well

Man City are definite frontrunners now. The door has been swung wide open for them, and they'll pounce on the opportunity.

Man City are definite frontrunners now. Yeah for sure. And this is after everyone completely forgot about them

I think Liverpool may have been figured out. Teams knows they can't outplay them, so sit back with a narrow defence and play on the counter attack. Liverpool get frustated and run out of ideas. In other news, once again, Bruno Penaldes was nowhere to be seen in a big game. Imagine building such a large reputation by scoring penalties against mid-table sides

Imagine the scenes if Leicester win the title again. They're in the running this season!

Yeah beating shit teams like Sheffield United, West Ham, or Chelsea might sound easy, but how often do you see big teams drop points against them? LVG's Manchester United had some awful losses against mid table teams in those years

Imagine the scenes if Leicester win the title again. They're in the running this season! They've been a very good team for a few years now. Everyone thought they would come crashing down to earth after their legendary title win, which they kinda did for a while, but now they've come back and will probably finish in the Top 6 for second straight year

Imagine the scenes if Leicester win the title again. They're in the running this season! Leicester are more or less a top 6 club now. I think theyโve displaced Arsenal, who seem to be entering a Milan-style decline (though Milan themselves are ironically on the up again). Everton are doing really well this year as well. Would be good to see them in the UCL again.

Never seen so many teams still involved in the title race at this stage.
Chelsea is a weird one, before the season started they spent ยฃ250 million on some really great players, yet have gone backwards.

Newport's keeper scored from a goal kick the other day. Guinness World Records have now verified it as the longest goal ever scored in a competitive match. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55731409

Yeah this year has been great for club football at least, which is a good distraction from the rest of the mess happening in real life. Looks like there is at least six potential challengers for the race. Some are less likely (Everton, Tottenham) but are statistically very much in the race still

Well, at the moment if I was to bet on a team from Merseyide it would be the one that plays in blue.

Well, at the moment if I was to bet on a team from Merseyide it would be the one that plays in blue. Definitely. Theyโre still very strong even once James and DCL came back down to earth; thatโs actually the sign of a really good team. Being able to grind out wins even when your best players arenโt playing that great

Another potential twist in the title race, KDB has been ruled out for 6 weeks.
Jamie Vardy also needs surgery.

Liverpool are in a bad shape. They will soon be out from the European qualifying places.
2021's Arsenal.

Liverpool have been shaky for the last 12 months, it was overlooked because they were 25 points clear in the league or whatever. Certainly not the Liverpool of 2019, when they were clearly the best team in the world. I'm not sure what's gone wrong since. They seemed to be pulling it back together over Christmas, and the title seemed to be theirs. Now they've suddenly forgotten how to score. If anything was to ever let them down I never would have thought it would be the attack.
The defence has actually been good recently, even though all the senior centre backs are injured and midfielders like Fabinho and Henderson were covering for them. Fabinho actually turned out to be a world class defender, but is needed more in midfield.
That loss against Burnley was their first at home for 4 years, and the end of a record-breaking unbeaten run.

In other news, a lot of question marks over David Beckham appointing Phil Neville as coach of the team he's recently founded, Inter Miami.
Further proof that it's not what you know, it's who you know.
