Apparently some really early human-like fossiles from 2.1 million years ago have been discovered near here, which led me into this weatherbox for the sub-provincial city. Xi'an definitely has a very intriguing climate in many respects. Sharing some features with Chongqing, except being colder year round and a bit sunnier, this one combines relatively wet summers influenced by monsoons with very dry Siberian High winters with very little snowfall in spite of the cold temps. Being located at 34ยฐN, the sun has significant strength year-round. My grade is D, neither summers nor winters are too my liking, but shoulder seasons look decent. It's a bit too cloudy as well.

Kind of a dull climate. Summer has good temps but could use more rain, winter is too mild, and it's too cloudy. D-.

Pleasant shoulder seasons, summers too hot and humid, especially the mins. Dry winters are in the annoying zone of "too warm for snow, too cool to sit outside pleasantly". Also very dry and probably boring. The low winter sunshine and precipitation is odd, how does that happen? Summers are probably not stormy. Only southern and coastal China gets lots of thunderstorms. D+, would be as high as a C+ if it were sunny

D-. This sucks. Way too cloudy with depressing winters but the summers are ok (not too hot or cloudy).

C, would have easily been a B climate if not for the horrendous sunshine hours, the place is cloudier than my asshole

E. Horrible climate. Hot, humid summers and warm, bone dry winters.

B-
Temps are ok although not ideal. Real issues are lack of sunshine and presumably very little snow for having cloudy and cold winters.

D+.
Too cloudy, but the decent summers and the dryness save it from an F.

B. Almost every climate that's posted here seems to be too dry, but the temperatures here are very good. I'd prefer a bit less gloom though, too.

D+. All months could be a lot cooler. Too cloudy all year, too dry in winter. Shoulder seasons and the annual range are good.
