Not in Svolvær right now, but I spent two nights right outside the town earlier. Cold but temperate winters, with disgusting non-existent crummers. A little too short time period, so take it with a small pinch of salt if you want. F+ for me. Their winters are better than ours, but I couldn't stand their crummers.

C–; crummers too cold and boring, but winters and snowfall are lovely.

E- at least you won't freeze to oblivion unlike Kiruna, and 15/12 makes sure at least overnight lows in summer are alright.
These summer lows are hilarious in that they're warmer than San Francisco's in July and this at above the arctic circle!

Oi dickhead, It can easily snow at 3° C with the right humidity, especially at such a latitude where low pressure and high moisture reigns dominant, and where polar fronts are lashing almost daily. You—like most of the fellas here—severely underestimate how snowy these Northern Norwegian climates can get. You don't call Grytviken "polar slush", yet this climate gets the label? Aye, it's not nearly as cold or as snowy as Grytviken, but it's certainly snowier than most of mainland Europe.

The Lofoten Islands can get really good snowstorms of course but much too often (for me) the conditions are 2-3C rain and near darkness. Summer is the best time of year there...

E- since it's still far better and more liveable than Verkhoyansk slightly further to the south

D. Decent winters with snow, but a bit too mild. A few degrees colder would make almost all the precipitation fall as snow. The other 3 seasons are too cold, especially the chilly summers. Diurnal ranges are tiny, but with the max temps around 15C, a low range keeps it from being frosty at night. Also too cloudy and too high of latitude.

F its actually worse than Reykjavik... the only good thing going for it is the extremely small diurnal range

F Awful climate. But the scenery is nice, and I would actually rather live there than here.

E, glum, but at least there's some snow and it's not going to kill you.
