Hard choice for me but I'll have to go with Yushan as Chitral is too dry with most precipitation occurring in late winter/early spring. Yushan gets more snow and is definitely the windier of the two. It would be an interesting place to observe typhoons. The summers are brutally wet though... :/

Yushan for the squalls/wind, precipitation, instability, tremendous snowfall and so forth...just overall more interesting!

This is one of the few times I'll choose the one that's less continental. Yushan would be quite a climate to experience for a year or two lol.

Why is Yushan winning at the time of writing this, wtf It's objectively awful!

I know right! Surprising is Alex choosing that shithole considering his love of hot summers.

I know right! Surprising is Alex choosing that shithole considering his love of hot summers. Methinks the foremost reason as to why we three (Alex, Antares & meself) chose Yushan is because it is much wetter and more unexpected/fun; stability is always boring, no matter the temperature. Also, squally/windy climates are much funner than boring calm climatesβthe wind adds some "action in the weather", as I like to say! Weather enthusiasts always love checking forecasts to see unexpected, exciting weather events pop up out of nowhere; endless sunshine or dry cloud with no wind, for example, is a weather enthusiast's worst nightmare

But Chitral still has 800mm a year, larger diurnal ranges on average (and most of the year), a larger range between summer and winter than Yushan. Has a decent amount of variablity year round, it's definitely not a boring climate and what's this talk about weather enthusiasts? Yeah i'd vote chitral, april to october are pretty decent.

Methinks that is also owing to the total absence of record highs/lows for Chitral, making its weatherbox look stable just because of it. If it had recordsβand if they were exciting recordsβthen I'd choose Chitral.

Complete dominance for Chitral, obviously. C vs F+

I know right! Surprising is Alex choosing that shithole considering his love of hot summers. I think it's because it's August now and the heat is starting to wear me down a bit lol. I'm starting to crave some windy, rainy and cool weather, also Yushan sees a lot more snowfall. Hmmm, looking back I'm not sure. It's not like Chitral is a complete borehole either, it is too dry for me however.

Chitral lmao, Yushan is a piece of shit, rather die than live in that cesspool THIS!!!! And Chitral is also a MUCH more interesting climate. Chitral is actually pretty good. January to April is too wet and itβs too warm outside of summer but still gets a B-. Yushan is an unlivable hellhole and gets an F-.

Chitral - Yushan has no summer unfortunately, so I couldn't live somewhere like that.

Chitral. As much as I love the wetness of Yushan it's just too cool in all seasons. Now if the summer weather were in the winter for Yushan that would be perfect.
