It’s a C for me. Very meh climate, no great features, no terrible features. I’d say there’s probably 20-25 days at the most a year where I hate the weather. It’s too cold and wet year round but not bad. Edit: forgot a link Link

D maybe D+, slightly better than Bunghole due to being at a lower elevation, but still suffers from being under the Iron Curtain from November to April

A+; splendid preciptiation, exciting temperatures, good swings...probably fairly squally as well, lying at ~200 m AMSL or near about. You massively underrate your climate, lad!

He really doesn't, Upstate NY sucks ass Not for a weather enthusiast, it don't! Upstate NY yields all sorts of weather; winters are cold, damp & snowy as all proper winters should be; summers, whilst lacking in heat are still fun & unstable, with plenty of storm activity (at least in Rochester—Steelernation said that it averages ~35 storm days annually). Upstate NY is a much better climate than here (A+ vs A–); if you thought Bunghole's crummers were ugly, just wait till you average 8° C / 22° C at the height of summer...

If you like cold weather it's great, if you are interested in any sort of heat or thunderstorm related excitement, well you're going to be very not excited

Just gonna respond to a few things in one post.
1. The grey sheet is mostly limited to late October to early January. Late winter gets a decent amount of sunshine, and while there’s still a bunch of clouds, it’s significantly sunnier than early winter.
2. AW mentioned squalls, summer is pretty calm but winter and spring can be very windy. There’s usually several days per year with gusts of 85-95 kph. March 2017 had a gust of 130 kph one day!
3. Most years get a good amount of thunderstorms, normally some of them are pretty strong with heavy rain, high winds and lots of thunder. Not the case this year sadly.

As far as humid continental climates go, it's glorious.

A solid B; pretty good climate but could be more continental and have more storms.

Almost a clone of my climate, which is for me the epitome of a neutral (C) climate, so Rochester gets a C too.

B+. Similar to here. I like the snowfall amounts better than mine but I don't like the higher number of wet days, the lower sunshine hours, and the milder temperatures. The warm part of the year is similar to Milwaukee outside of the UHI.

B
Winters are too cold and summers are too dry. All around a very good climate though.
