Very annoying, especially in March and April. During this time of the year feels like the Northeast is the coldest place in the entire country

Ideally May, June and July would be the summer months. The best summer conditions aligned with the longest, sunniest days. Sometimes summer conditions stretch out well into September, but it's bittersweet with a crap sun angle and shorter days.

I like a little lag in summer, the days getting shorter is depressing so I want the temperatures to stay warm to make up for it. Ideally July and August would be the warmest months with June more of a late spring month.
However in winter I want zero lag. December should be the coldest and snowiest month and February should be noticeably warmer with spring coming fast in March.

December is our coldest month of the year, and Jan and Feb get progressively warmer; while in Summer, July and August are the core of the season

What I like about seasonal lag in summer is that even if June is rather cool I can say "at least I have a high and intense sun", and by August when sun intensity is noticeably decrasing it's still the warmest time of the year. An August without seasonal lag would alredy feel like autumn and in June I don't really need both intense sun and hot temperatures.

Donar exactly my thoughts! I prefer a slight misalignemnt since I enjoy cool, sunny long may days and i'm fascinating by this escaping the seasons effect. I'd prefer a bit more variability during spring if its chilly, so rhat one can enjoy mild/warm days early on in the season, but I dislike harsh may heatwaves. Seasonal lag is overall a B from me. I hate cold russian novembers/november already being winter, more than the chilly marches we get here, they seem a lot more depressing since they temps are improving here still and the sun feels nice. May be more frustrating on higher latitudes though, speaking from a low 40's perspective here.

I'm not sure of a grade, since I despise autumn and winter, but I prefer a seasonal lag. September-December are gloomy and depressing and wouldn't be so bad if it was warmer, like 10-20 c. April- July are light enough and I could have swapped a couple of degrees off and put those on the autumn months.
Just like they did in Halifax and Sapporo. Smart move.

A B+ for me...
It can make for some interesting combinations such as snow at 9-10pm while it's still light but I'd rather have an early spring and summer along with an early fall as opposed to a late spring late summer late fall.

I'd give it a C I like a few weeks of seasonal lag like North Carolina has, but I don't like how in Oklahoma the hottest time of year is at the end of July/beginning of August, because at that point I'm starting to get tired of summer.

I don't think we have it?
We have some sort of a seasonal lead. November is generally warmer than March and in some years October can be more prone to record heat than March (April feels pretty wintry compared to October). This is all due to the foehn effect as westerlies are strong at that time of the year when they swarm in heat from the interior and over the ranges.

Fuck spring seasonal lag, that goes without saying.

I like seasonal lag into the autumn and seasonal lead in winter/spring.

F. February should be the warmest winter month, March warmer than November, April warmer than October, May warmer than September, and June warmer than August. Itโs especially horrible in the spring, when wintry conditions in February can drag into March, this is truly horrible

B-. I like summer lag but am not a huge fan of winter lag. My current climate overdoes it on both fronts, though. Winter has no lag, with December being the coldest month, while August is the warmest month and October has warmer highs than June. I like a slow spring warm up for having a long stretch of mild and pleasant weather, but in SoCal itโs tooo slow (in regards to max temps)

I like that February is the coldest month, and I also like August is warmer than June. I will give seasonal lag a slightly positive C+.
Must've been on heroin while held at gunpoint by MS-13 when I said this. Nope, February should be the mildest winter month.

C. Not that important to me, but still want a 1-month lag so that hottest and coldest temps don't occur with the highest and lowest solar radiation, respectively. I find warm temps and weak sun very relaxing, same with cold temps and stronger sun.

I quite like a mild late summer/early autumn, but I hate seasonal lag in the late winter/spring. Some climates have the former without the latter, some have both. I'll vote a C overall. This exactly. Nothing better than Indian summer days in the 80s in late October with beautiful foliage and low sun angles - but also nothing worse than snowstorms and highs in the mid-30s in mid-April.

B- or C, we get seasonal lag here so it's normal to me.
The 2023 style seasonal lag is an F though.

E. I like some in the warm season so that summer doesnโt feel like itโs passed by already, thereโs more pleasant weather in fall and late spring/early summer is cooler than the sun is stronger.
However itโs so unbelievably bad in winter/spring i wonโt give ir higher than an E

I can't legit vote on seasonal lag as we ( Top End of AU ) dont have it. Mind you, the far southern states of Tas and Vic have a late summer into March, and a late summer with Nov and early Dec being often on the cool side.
