According to the latest news clocks will be turned back by an hour for the last time this fall and starting next spring we'll stay on permanent daylight saving time.
What are your thoughts on it?
Personally, I'd prefer to keep changing clocks, I don't mind dark winter evenings but waking up in the dark sucks. If I had to pick one I'd agree with staying on DST though.

I think the Nordic Countries will agree on a common policy what to do.
I don't mind staying on permanent DST, but we'll see.

The process by which it was decided seems strange, a consultation which barely anyone seemed to be aware of, or care about. Italy had a 0.04% response rate, similarly low numbers were seen across the bloc with by far the largest responses coming in Germany and Austria, 3.79% and 2.94%
Surely they need more engagement on an important decision such as this?

For an online poll 3.79% is a pretty damn impressive number.

Still a very low number, despite being by far the highest turnout, struggled to break 0.1% in a bunch of places. Clearly they should have done it a different way.

In here the news was reported in a slightly different way. What I heard, and what I can read from national articles, is that it was proposed to abolish the change from DST to standard time and vive-versa, but each country has to decide whether to keep DST or standard time all year round (which sounds like a mess). They also reported it making it sound like one of those proposals which will be probably forgotten well before being approved.
Well, we will see.
