Quite boring week pictures-wise. In Turin at the moment many tree lines already look quite autumn-like, even if the temperatures of the last month don't justify it at all (averages for September in the urban area 16/30°C, record low 13°C record high 34°C). It doesn't seem to be related to dryness either, because this year has been much rainier than usual in here (and, also, when trees turn yellow for the dryness the first leaves to be interested are usually the highest ones, while in this case all leaves are interested to the same extend). Looking at single leaves, they don't seem particularly healthy either. They are all turning brown from the external border, and then it progressively expands toward the center. Doing some research on gardening sites, it seems to be related to trees suffering of overheating for long periods [1]Up to my place instead I can't spot any foliage at all, even looking up to the mountains all the trees still seem pretty green. We are having a quite warm September too (16/24°C of average, Min 13°C Max 27°C).

^Nice pics! Hope you get some more. Hopefully the trees won't be too damaged though. Here's a highway cam shot near Davidson. They're getting clobbered!

Mod note: Though some aspects of Italy can seem quite old-fashioned, Baba, they are nevertheless living in 2018 too, so try to remember that next time you post photos.
Finally I can upload the rest of the pictures from the Italian riviera. We stayed in Levanto. Although not one of the Cinque terre, and not as picturesque from viewpoints, it was just as lovely to walk around, but without any tourists, and there were a lot of great authentic and serene cafés (the cinque terres mostly have restaurants, and it's a bit too lively for a serene and romantic café). We really felt like we were in the heart of Italian paradise. It had colorful buildings Cozy streets And narrow streets Fancy streets And old streets

Nice sunset tonight (the real one was much more pink-ish than how it looks in picture)

Oslo (Blindern) actually "maded" overnight freeze with -0.2C Average date (1981-2010) is Oct 17th so very early.
No freeze in Trondheim, and certainly not in Bergen. Not even in Hammerfest but close, 0.5C

All roads lead to Rome, and so did ours. Roman forums and the Palatine hill were very cool. Very pleasantly surprised. Pretty cool walking about in the remains of a city 2000 years old. Very cool. Colloseum to the right. Not bad looking either. Looks very nice. There was this bird that came and just stood on this pillar for like 15 minutes and everybody just took turns posing inches away from it instead of taking pictures of all the 2000 year old buildings. What a legend that bird was though. Absolute mad lad. Rome was a lot greener than I expected. I expected an arid rock, but there was a lot of beautiful vegetation. The actual city itself looked decent too. A bit run down, but that's expected of a mediterranean country with old stone buildings and no money. It felt more charming than it did in Paris. We also visited the smallest country on earth. They had also the most confusing gate on earth. Seriously. This gate leads to the private half of the Vatican, and it's guarded by guards, but there's no sign saying you aren't allowed to enter, and dozens of people crowded 10-15m away and took pictures of the gate but not a single person approached except one couple that went up to the guards, shook their hands, and entered. I asked an authority there if you're allowed to enter and he said no. I asked about those other two that entered and he said they live there. They were like 23 years old and had bags and everything. Looked like tourists, not like people living and working inside the vatican for the pope. I'm so confused. Why is there no sign? And why is not a single person attempting to pass through the gate?

Classic highly variable early autumn weather going on. 10°C. PS, I've no idea what that green glow behind the bush is. Probably a ghost or a portal to hell.

It looks like a green light but it doesn't make sense for a green light to be there. Have you inspected that area?

Beautiful foliage pics from Canada! Not much foliage yet here apart from blighted trees, though more and more trees are starting to turn. Colors should show up more clearly thanks to the chilly nights we've gotten lately. From a park in the eastern suburbs:
Theme: "Ordnung muss sein"
