Sydney Observatory Hill has records of 20.0/14.0 with 144.4mm (5.66 inches) and 4.4 sun hours/day so far this month. The averages for october are 22.8/14.4 with 82.2mm and 7.9 sun hours/day.

This improves my quality of life considerably. Hopefully they'll get a cool and cloudy crummer dominated by southeasterlies. Shitney is 2C cooler MTD than Melbourne About bloody time the golden child gets kicked up its privileged ass.

A low pressure system is moving through the central west, southern gascoyne, wheatbelt and goldfields districts this afternoon. Bringing heavy showers and storms into the evening. As of 9am some major centres have had the following rainfall amounts: Kalgoorlie: 7.2mm Southern Cross: 0.8mm Dalwallinu: 0.4mm Newdegate and Lake Grace will be added once they are hit by storms in the next hour.

Update: Storms have consolidated into large blobs of dark blue, green and yellow rainfall (medium-heavy). Rainfall since 9am: Norseman (200km south of kalgoorlie): 12.0mm Morawa: 22.4mm Salmon Gums (100km north of esperance): 8.0mm Newdegate: 8.0mm Dalwallinu: 6.8mm

I just checked how my hometown of Christchurch has been doing lately. It's been absolutely horrific over the past few days. Look at that 87 kph Southerly gust! The 9th was downright suicide-inducing. Just imagine having weather like that on the cusp of summer...

Average maximum: 25.3C (+1.5C) Average minimum: 17.3C (+1.0C) Rainfall so far: 40.0mm (average is 104.8mm over the month but as it is the 22nd probably around 70mm average to the 22nd) Rain days: 7 Sun hours/day: 7.6 hours/day (average)
Melbourne had a warm october. November has tended to the warmer and wetter side.
Average maximum: 23.5C (+0.9C) Average minimum: 12.3C (-0.3C) Rainfall so far: 83.2mm (average is 63.1mm over the month but as it is the 22nd probably around 40mm average to the 22nd) Rain days: 10 Sun hours/day: 7.6 hours/day (around average)
